Diligent, relentless, meticulous and motivated, Daniel elevates every production he touches. There’s very little that he hasn’t seen or done. From burning down houses, throwing actors through windows, editing Super Bowl commercials to directing television pilots, Daniel revels in taking on any challenge that comes his way.

Daniel’s collaborated on work for Reebok, Old Navy, Lands’ End, KwikTrip, Fiskars, Snap-on, Wahl, Bed, Bath & Beyond, Trek Travel, Duluth Trading Co., Jones Dairy Farm, GoDaddy and Carsey Werner Television. From this experience he has developed a keen eye and acute sense of timing; both in the editing suite and on set.

The idea is just the starting point for Daniel. He shines when breaking down the impossible and turning it into the attainable. From an effect-heavy commercial to a lengthy documentary, he’ll often lean on his extensive editing expertise to ensure cast, crew & client are prepared for everything before ever stepping on set. This combination of practical skills and unrelenting passion for the craft puts him in a unique position to produce the most compelling images, cut and ultimate result.

Lands’ End | Work Wear

Sales videos of all kinds are quick to highlight the features and benefits of products. In writing and directing this project for Lands’ End, Daniel wanted to focus more on the potential customer. The portrayal of real, blue collar workers as the unsung heroes they are, allows for a natural and unforced connection to the brand and products. The writing carefully avoided heavy handed pronouns that would give the narration a specific perspective. The camera treated subjects more like athletes by having them heroically posture. This allows the perspective to come from them as a collective and also conveniently shows off the product.

Fiskars | Employee Recruitment

For employee recruitment, it’s critical that messaging is delivered with sincerity. Modern viewers are quick to recognize and connect with authenticity. Scripted deliveries can often fall flat when given by real employees. Daniel took all of this into account when directing and adopted an informal interview style for this project for Fiskars. This allows subjects to feel comfortable and speak in their own words. It also adds an improvisational energy that lets potential recruits see first hand the environment of their future workplace.
